My friend Robert Biron, who is the creative Director for Up There Magazine, passed along this very cool assignment for the magazines article on Mayan sweets and spices. With a little bit of research and illustration style exploration I delivered these warm and beautiful renderings.
I'm always working on new gigs and pushing boundaries. I have been a freelance illustrator for over five years and working as a graphic designer full-time since 1992.
My work experience includes concept development, branding, design production, art direction and illustration. I am also capable of designing websites, eblasts and animated web banners.
As an illustrator I have focussed on outdoor lifestyle related publications. I have worked for magazines such as BC Cottage, Canadian Woodworking and Outdoor Canada, as well as a number of American publications. As an avid angler and hunter I am always looking for illustration work that matches my passion for the outdoors.
My resume, graphic design and illustration samples are available in pdf format upon request. Browse my archives (top left of page) for recent work samples and drop me a line if you are interested in chatting about an assignment.
